Generate product drafts without the form timing out
August 12, 2026 · Editorial Team
Shop owners can now generate concise, on-brand product drafts without the form being cut off by the site request timeout.
This update keeps product-description generation inside the site request window. If an OpenRouter response is slow, the request now ends with the existing retry message before the gateway timeout instead of dropping off mid-flow. When the AI responds in time, the draft still saves normally as a real draft.
For local shops, that means the product writing workflow is more reliable. You can enter a product, ask for a description, and keep moving without wondering whether the form will fail at the last step. The draft either comes back and saves, or you get the retry message and can try again through the same flow.
This change is focused on the part of the process that matters most: finishing the request cleanly. Product-description generation stays within the site’s timeout limits, so the experience is less likely to be interrupted by a slow upstream response.
For teams that add products often, that makes it easier to keep descriptions moving and reduce wasted time on interrupted submissions. The result is a smoother path from product details to a draft you can review and use.
